About Digital Projects Dashboard

The Digital Projects Dashboard

The Queensland Government is making it easier for you to do business with us. The new Digital Projects Dashboard gives you a picture of some of the projects we’re working on and how they are progressing.

You can view projects being worked on across our many departments as we evolve into a digital and responsive government.

If you’re a digital or IT business owner, you can access current ICT tenders and find out about digital work in the pipeline.

Digital projects

The Digital Projects Dashboard visually presents digital project data published by each department on the Queensland Government Open Data Portal. This data is updated regularly by each department. Significant cross-government projects (referred to as Cross-Gov) are also displayed.

A project is a substantial activity undertaken by an agency to improve its services. It may also refer to a program—a group of related projects and change management activities that together achieve change for an organisation.

Projects are dynamic, and require flexibility for changing circumstances, to ensure they continue to deliver for the current needs of the business.

ICT procurement

The Digital Projects Dashboard also provides access to ICT tender information on the QTenders website. You can find planned, open and closed tenders at their various stages: evaluation, shortlisted, awarded, all offers declined and no offers received.

Tenders can include:

  • an invitation to offer (ITO)
  • request for offer (RFO)
  • request for interest (RFI)
  • expression of interest (EOI).

Small businesses and other members of the ICT industry can find out about opportunities to develop and grow their business and information on selling to the Queensland Government.

How to use the Digital Projects Dashboard

The main page provides options for the type of information you wish to view. You can find out about digital projects or ICT tenders by selecting the relevant tab:

  • Digital projects by status – Projects tab
  • ICT tenders – Tenders tab.

Digital projects by status

Digital projects by status is the default view on the dashboard. It provides a whole-of-government overview as well as a summary view for each department showing the number of projects and their total expenditure.

Selecting a coloured bar in the whole-of-government ‘Overview’ section will provide:

  • filtered summary for all projects of that colour status, or
  • full list of government projects sorted by approved expenditure.

In the ‘Projects by department’ section, selecting ‘view all projects’ displays a list of all reported projects.

Selecting a coloured bar in the ‘Projects by department’ section will provide either:

  • filtered departmental summary for all projects of that colour status, or
  • full list of a department’s projects sorted by approved expenditure.

Selecting a department on the left-hand side of the screen (hover over the acronym to see the department title in full) will provide a complete list of that department’s reported projects.

ICT tenders

ICT tenders is accessible via the Tenders tab. A list of links to view ICT tenders by stage is displayed, which lead to the relevant information on the Queensland Government QTenders website. The stages of ICT tenders are:

  • planned (forward procurement schedule)
  • current (tenders open for responses)
  • under evaluation
  • shortlisted
  • awarded
  • all offers declined
  • no offers received

Refer to the frequently asked questions and glossary pages for more information.
