National Carers Week

National Carers Week is held in October each year and recognises and celebrates the contribution that carers make to our nation.

It is estimated that in 2015 there were 473,400 Queenslanders who provided unpaid care for at least 6 months to a loved one with a disability, a long-term health condition, or frailty. That means approximately 1 in 10 Queenslanders (10.2%) identified as carers.
