Community road safety grants

The Queensland Government offers funding to community groups for projects and programs that address road safety issues in support of the Queensland Road Safety Strategy 2015–2021 strategic objectives and associated action plan.

The grants aim to:

  • provide opportunities for community organisations to deliver local road safety initiatives with a road safety and educational benefit
  • drive a fundamental culture change and attitude to road safety in local communities
  • encourage innovative new ideas that address current and future local road safety issues.

In Assessment – 2018 Community Road Safety Grants

The Department of Transport and Main Roads would like to thank organisations for their applications for the 2018 Community Road Safety Grants funding round. All applications are currently being assessed and will also be considered by an independent selection committee.

It is anticipated that successful organisations will be notified during Queensland Road Safety week, the week beginning Monday 27 August 2018.

Thank you for your ongoing support of road safety. The Queensland Community Road Safety Grants scheme is an action of the Queensland Road Safety Action Plan 2017–2019 and a key element of the Queensland Government's Join the Drive to Save Lives social change strategy.
