Queensland Border Declaration Pass
Entry to Queensland is temporarily restricted by the Chief Health Officer in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Border Restrictions Direction 21 commenced at 1am 22 December 2020 and requires a person entering Queensland who has been in New South Wales after 1am 11 December 2020 to apply for and receive a Queensland Border Declaration Pass.
- An individual who requires a Queensland Border Declaration Pass must have one regardless of whether they are a child and travelling with their parents.
- You must NOT complete this pass on behalf of another person, unless you are a parent or guardian completing it for a child or you are assisting a person with impaired capacity or special needs.
If you are arriving from overseas, please visit the federal Department of Home Affairs website and Queensland’s COVID-19 advice for international arrivals.
When you apply, you will need to upload identification and supporting documents, and allow 3 business days for approval.
After you apply
Once approved, you will receive an email with your border pass and entry code. If you receive a Q Pass you are only permitted to enter Queensland via air.
If you have not received an outcome on your application within 3 business days, call 134 COVID (13 42 68).
