Each year, NAIDOC Week celebrations highlight the rich and diverse cultures of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the First Australians. NAIDOC Week celebrations and community events are a great opportunity for all Queenslanders to come together and acknowledge the histories, cultures, customs and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders.
NAIDOC Week 2021
NAIDOC Week 2021 celebrations will be held from Sunday 4 July to Sunday 11 July.
This year's national NAIDOC theme Heal Country! calls for everyone to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration and destruction.
NAIDOC Week 2021 invites everyone to embrace First Nations’ cultural knowledge and understanding of Country as part of Australia's national heritage and equally respect the culture and values of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
