New pathway to encourage veteran employment
Veterans and ex-Australian Defence Force (ADF) members can now access resources to help find suitable, sustainable, and meaningful employment within the Queensland public sector.
The new Veterans’ employment pathway aims to promote the sector as an employer of choice, and showcase the skills and capabilities of former ADF members to hiring managers and human resource (HR) practitioners.
It also aims to increase the participation of former ADF members in the sector, and support transition to public sector employment.
Giving veterans a fair chance at sector-wide employment is a priority—our goal is retention, not just recruitment. It’s about creating an inclusive and diverse workforce that brings together people with a wide range of skills, backgrounds and perspectives.
