Tropical Cyclone Debbie

Tropical Cyclone Debbie crossed the Queensland coast on Tuesday 28 March 2017.

Areas affected by the severe tropical cyclone included the Whitsundays, Mackay and Burdekin regions. Significant damage and flooding also occured in South East Queensland as Debbie weakened into a tropical low and travelled south.

Financial assistance was made available for those impacted, and extensive community recovery and other works were undertaken to repair the damage done by the storm and subsequent flooding.
