Stop the rise

Sexually transmissible infections (STIs) are common and are currently on the rise in Queensland—but they don’t have to be.

A lot of STIs are symptomless, which means you could have one without even knowing. If left untreated, STIs can cause serious health problems.

The good news is that with the correct information, regular health checks, and the right protection, most STIs can be avoided or treated.

Have a confident and healthy sex life by using condoms, getting tested regularly, and having good knowledge about sexual health and consent.

If you’re sexually active, find out what you can do to make it safe for yourself and your partner.
