Regional Parliament 2019
The Queensland Parliament held a Regional Sitting of Parliament in Townsville from 3 - 5 September 2019 at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre.
The historic event saw thousands of visitors from the regions, including school students and the general public, visit Parliament and experience democracy in action.
The regional sitting, which will see Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre transformed into State Parliament between 3 and 5 September, provides a great opportunity for community members, including school groups, to visit the public gallery and see how Parliament operates.
Entry to all Parliamentary sessions was free and open to the general public.
This historic occasion was celebrated through a program of community events, business functions and Youth Parliament activities.
