Ice consultation reaches out to the regions

On 27 April, Rockhampton hosted the Ice Regional Community Engagement Summit to discuss the government’s draft plan to tackle ice in Queensland: Action on ice.

The summit provided an opportunity for guests to identify any gaps in the plan and examine how the government can assist regional communities in developing workable community led solutions.

Action on ice was released in February 2017, informing Queenslanders about ice, its impact on the individual, families and the community, and current government responses.

Members of the public were also encouraged to participate in the discussion by submitting their feedback online, contributing to the extensive consultation process.
