Queensland's new tobacco laws

Good news nature lovers!

From February 2017, you’ll be able to breathe easier in Queensland National Parks because smoking will be prohibited within 10 metres of in-use campsites and any public facilities like visitor information centres, barbecues and picnic tables.

This law forms part of the new tobacco legislation that’s encouraging more Queenslanders to quit smoking and prevent more young people from taking up the habit. On-the-spot fines apply for breaches of these tobacco laws.
