Flexible Funding Grants Round Two applications now open

Up to $16.7 million in funding is now available for flood-impacted Queensland communities.

Round Two of the Queensland Rainfall and Flooding events 2021–2022 Flexible Funding Grants is now open. If you’re an eligible organisation or community group with a project in mind to help your community recover or become more flood-resilient in the future, we want to hear from you!

There are two grant types available:

  • Small grants—up to $50,000
  • Large grants—up to $100,000.

Funding will be provided to support projects such as neighbourhood and community strengthening activities that focus on flood education, resilience building, and future disaster preparedness.

Applications are open to:

  • Queensland-based community groups
  • local councils
  • non-government organisations
  • peak and industry groups
  • research bodies located in or delivering projects to 39 disaster-impacted local government areas.

The grants are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements 2018 . They will support successful applicants to deliver community-led recovery and resilience projects in Queensland areas affected by flooding in 2021 or 2022.

Ideas for projects are endless and all eligible applicants are encouraged to apply.

Applications close 2pm, Wednesday 7 June 2023.
