Dignity First Fund

The Dignity First Fund was launched to support new ideas that take a different look at the problems homeless people face and how we can tackle them to help Queenslanders experiencing homelessness meet their immediate needs and live with dignity.

$2 million in one-off funding was available across 3 categories:

  • Start-up funding for social entrepreneurs with real-world ideas and solutions that really make a difference to people needing it most.
  • Innovation funding for organisations delivering services to people experiencing homelessness to help them expand their work, and develop new responses and projects that provide dignity to people who are homeless.
  • Small capital grants for existing organisations to upgrade their facilities and help homeless people meet their basic needs in a way which reduces the impact of homelessness on the person or family.

Funding applications have now closed.
