How Celebrating Multicultural Queensland funding supports multicultural projects

Past Celebrating Multicultural Queensland (CMQ) funding recipients have played pivotal roles in enhancing employability, supporting small businesses, and empowering youth.

Deanne Wooden, Senior Project Officer of the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops and a CMQ funding recipient, shared her success story.

“The grant allowed us to support more than 60 women from refugee and migrant backgrounds to improve their English skills, boosting their confidence, and facilitating their participation in catering and hospitality training and employment,” she said.

The CMQ program forms part of the state's commitment to nurturing and celebrating diversity, acknowledging its value in fostering strength, innovation, and social cohesion for all.
