Queensland Day Sponsorship Program

The Queensland Day Sponsorship Program encourages Queenslanders to celebrate Queensland Day in a way that reflects the unique culture, heritage and aspirations of their own community.

Organisations were invited to apply for sponsorship of up to $10,000 (exclusive of GST) for events celebrating Queensland Day, 6 June, and held between 2 and 10 June 2017.

Successful applicants for 2017

A total of 16 events across the state will receive funding:

2017 Queensland Day Burdekin Fun, Fitness and Lifestyle Expo
(Burdekin Shire Council)

Where: Alva Beach Park and Lifesavers Clubhouse
When: Sunday 4 June 2017

A range of free entertainment including sporting demonstrations, rides, displays, market stalls and a variety of fitness challenges.

Beef to Beach 2017

Where: Bell Park, Emu Park
When: Sunday 4 June 2017

A Queensland-themed community celebration including a race, market stalls, local produce, outdoor activities and a variety of musical entertainment.

Behind Queensland's Words: A Celebration of Queensland Day

A writer's festival and book fair including Queensland-themed presentations, displays, storytelling and dress ups.

Bloomin Beautiful Blackbutt BBQ and Boogie

A family fun day consisting of a community BBQ, activities at the showgrounds and a showcase of local produce and music, including a talent showcase and live concert.
