History of the Queensland Multicultural Awards
The Queensland Multicultural Awards recognise the valuable contributions of Queenslanders who support and promote a united, harmonious and inclusive Queensland.
Since 1990, the Queensland Multicultural Awards have recognised community volunteers, groups, businesses, government agencies and media whose long-term efforts have helped all Queenslanders to participate in our economy and community.
The awards aim to:
- recognise the efforts and achievements of individuals, organisations, education providers, government, businesses, Ambassadors, and the media in supporting Queensland's multicultural identity
- raise the profile of these achievements which promote multiculturalism across the state
- encourage excellence by individuals, organisations, education providers, government, businesses, Ambassadors, and the media in promoting the benefits of multiculturalism in Queensland.
