About the Multicultural Queensland Awards
The Multicultural Queensland Awards recognise the valuable contributions of Queenslanders who support and promote an inclusive, harmonious and united Queensland.
History of the awards
Since 1990, the Multicultural Queensland Awards have recognised community volunteers, groups, businesses, government agencies and media whose long-term efforts have helped all Queenslanders to participate in our economy and community.
The awards aim to:
- recognise the efforts and achievements of individuals, organisations, education providers, government, businesses, and the media in supporting Queensland's multicultural identity
- raise the profile of these achievements which promote multiculturalism across the state
- encourage excellence by individuals, organisations, education providers, government, businesses, and the media in promoting the benefits of multiculturalism in Queensland.
