Immunisation

Immunisation is important if you are travelling overseas or within Australia, or work in an environment that puts you at greater risk of catching a disease.

The National Immunisation Program, funded by the Australian Government, aims to increase immunisation in Australia.

The Immunisation Program Schedule lists recommended vaccines by age group.

You can get vaccinated for:

  • cervical cancer
  • chickenpox
  • diphtheria
  • hepatitis
  • influenza
  • measles
  • meningococcal disease
  • mumps
  • polio
  • rubella
  • tetanus.
