Scholarships for university students

Allied Health students

Allied Health student scholarships are sometimes available for final year students studying recognised physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech-language pathology courses.

Graduate Teacher Employment Scholarships

Graduate Teacher Employment Scholarships support high-achieving students in the final year of their undergraduate or post graduate teacher education. Scholarships are offered in high-demand curriculum areas.

Step into Teaching Scholarships

Step into Teaching Scholarships are available to high-achieving science and mathematics graduates interested in becoming senior Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics teachers in Queensland state high schools. Scholarship recipients receive generous financial study assistance and the opportunity to get valuable experience and improve their skills through teaching in a supportive, rural, remote or regional environments after graduation.

Griffith University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research scholarships.

Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research scholarships and prizes.

RAMUS scholarships

RAMUS scholarships (Rural Australian Medical Undergraduate Scholarship) helps students with rural backgrounds to study medicine.

The Peter Doherty Awards for Excellence in Science and Science

The Peter Doherty Awards for Excellence in Science and Science Education rewards students, teachers, schools and organisations demonstrating outstanding and innovative contributions to science and science education in Queensland.

Scholarships for TAFE students

Southbank Institute of technology offers scholarships for both new and continuing students. All scholarships are offered annually at the beginning of each academic year.

Scholarships for Indigenous people

Governor-General’s Indigenous Student Teacher Scholarships

Governor-General’s Indigenous Student Teacher Scholarships provide financial support to Indigenous students. These scholarships aim to increase the number of Indigenous teachers in schools who can support Indigenous students to achieve positive education outcomes. All enquiries should be directed to GovGenScholarships@deewr.gov.au.

Pearl Duncan Teaching Scholarships

Pearl Duncan Teaching Scholarships are available to help Queenslanders of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage who have chosen teaching as their career. Applications open early in term 4 and close mid-November annually. Successful applicants are announced by mid-February each year.
