The Duke of Ed Award sections
Fitness
The Fitness/Physical Recreation section of The Award encourages you to participate and improve your physical performance. You can choose individual or team activities. You don’t need to be part of a club—an adult with skills and experience in your chosen activity should provide you with assistance and act as your Assessor.
- Any activity you do during school counts towards The Award but you need to show proof of participation in activities within your own personal time as well.
- The same activity can be used through the different levels of The Award—you just need to show that you’re improving and building your skills at each level.
- You can do more than 1 physical activity to meet the requirements. For example, if you choose a summer activity that you can’t do in winter, you can pick another activity for winter so you can still meet the requirements.
