Compliance requirements

New web resources

It is expected that all new website content and web applications will be developed to be compatible with the browsers specified in the latest version of the browser support lists.

Existing web resources

All existing resources should be reviewed against the latest browser support lists at least once each year.

Note:

• If a specific complaint is received by an agency about a resource regarding its browser compatibility, one option for resolving the issue may be to ensure the resource is compatible with the latest version of the CUE browser support lists. If a serious bug is identified, it should be reported to the CUE Template Development SIG for consideration during the next review of the browser support lists.
• The user can then be assured that the resource in question has been updated to comply with current web standards and they can be referred to the browser support statement.
• The specifics of complaint resolution are left to the discretion of the agency as they fall outside the scope of this document.
