Utilities and agency name
1.2.3 Site utilities
(refer to Section 3, Screen layout diagram)The site utilities must be in a consistent order and located in the top right corner of each screen. The following guidelines apply:
- All screens will contain the following site utilities in the order below:
- Home links to agency home page (on pages other than the home page)
- Site map links to agency site map
- Contact us links to agency contact details
- Help links to agency help page
- Search input field followed by a default browser button labelled 'Search'.
e.g. - Websites that use scoped search in this section will display the text 'Search' followed by a drop down menu of values, the text 'for', then the input field followed by a default browser button labelled 'go'.
e.g. for
- For screen readers 'skips' are to be provided to allow the screen reader to navigate easily to the content. The placement of the skip links is specified in the template.
1.2.4 Agency Name
(refer to Section 4, Screen Layout Diagram)
The agency name must be located directly above the image strip and below the site utilities. The following guidelines apply:
- The agency name should provide a link to the agency home page.
- The shortened form of the agency's name should be used (as per the corporate identity guidelines).
- The text must be the Meta font (as per the corporate identity standards) this means that the agency name will be an image.
- The image must be the same height (as defined in the style sheet) for all agency sites.
- The image must include the agency's name as an "alt" attribute.
