Overview

How was the standard developed?

In February 2002, the Consistent User Experience (CUE) Working Group was established to develop recommendations for providing a consistent user experience across Queensland Government websites.

The Working Group was made up of 48 agency staff from more than 15 Government agencies with expertise in fields related to the use of electronic media as a tool for information dissemination. The Working Group included web developers, communications experts, publishers, information technology professionals and information designers.

The CUE Working Group continues to meet and collaborate on the consistent user experience, share information on using the template and to discuss improvements as new technologies emerge. The Working Group meets regularly and also assists each other via email.  Support, technical expertise and advice is provided to staff within agency's implementing the standard by the Queensland Government gateway management team.
