The source of style for all Queensland Government agencies is the Style manual for authors, editors and printers, as mandated in the Queensland Government Corporate Identity Manual (pp. 25, 69 - only accessible through the Queensland Government network).

The government standard reference for spelling in Australia is the Macquarie Dictionary (3rd edn, 2002).

All the following material is based on these sources.

Some agencies also have a supplementary in-house guide for department-specific terminology and conventions.

Commonwealth of Australia 2002, Style Manual for authors, editors and printers 6th edition, John Wiley & Sons Australia Ltd, Canberra.
