Implementation advice

Services Online

(Refer to 1.2.10 of the CUE Standard.)

It is recommended that the HTML and CSS provided in the CUE template be used in implementing the 'Services Online' style.  The font size will be a minimum of 75% (feature column) as per section 2.2.2 - Fonts of the CUE standard.  All other styles will be governed by the CUE template.

Agencies that do not use the CUE template due to technical limitations should implement the 'Services Online' design following their current development techniques.

Agencies that do not provide services online do not need to display the link, but may wish to provide links to services offered by agencies that are content related.

Examples of appropriate use

The List format could be used on home pages and content pages with bullet points used to list the services as hyperlinks directly to the services.

The text 'Services Online' is a hyperlink to either Smart Service Queensland or to an agency services listing page.

This option could also be used to highlight one service too.

The More services text link would ideally link to an agency page that lists all of that agency's services, including those delivered directly by the agency or by Smart Service Queensland, or a link to Smart Service Queensland's transactional space to access all Queensland Government online services. The Single format with the text 'Services Online' could be used on home pages and linked to Smart Service Queensland or an agency page that will include all of that agency's online services and those delivered by Smart Service Queensland

The Single format could also be used on agency content pages relevant to the service being offered, for example on a pages related to vehicle registration, the text could be changed to 'Pay your rego online' and linked directly to the transactional area or on pages relating to camping, the text could be changed to 'Obtain a camping permit' and linked to the relevant transactional area.

This 'service specific' text may wrap onto a maximum of two lines, based on an 800 x 600 screen resolution and font size set in the browser to medium.

It is anticipated that as more services are made available through Smart Service Queensland and within individual agencies that the Single format will be less used and the List format be the preferred option.
