Index pages

(Refer to 2.2.1 of the CUE Standard)

If using pop up menus for your primary navigation, accessibility considerations demand the use of 'index pages'. The menu items within the pop up are not accessible to clients without javascript.

The parent link for each pop up should take the user to an index page for that content. This page should contain the pop up menu navigation options in an accessible format (perhaps in the secondary navigation or as links in the body of the page).
