Being a registered provider
Organisations funded by the Department of Housing and Public Works to provide housing, and housing related services in Queensland, need to be registered under the Housing Act 2003 (PDF, 589KB). Once an organisation is registered, they are known as a registered provider.

Service reviews
The department monitors the performance of registered housing providers that it funds to check they meet their obligations under:
- the Housing Act 2003 (PDF, 589KB)
- the prescribed requirements in part 2 of the Housing Regulation 2003 (PDF, 482KB)
- assistance agreements.
