What is a GP?

A general practitioner (GP) is a medical professional who provides treatment and preventative health treatment to all types of people, regardless of sex or age. They may also be referred to generally as your doctor, and are usually the first point of contact for any health concerns you may have.

Where to find a GP

There are several ways to find a GP near you:

  • Search a phone directory like the Yellow or White pages
