Poisonous plants

Poisoning from plants often involves children and pets and is usually associated with garden or house plants.

Many plant and fungi species are known to be poisonous to people and animals.

The Queensland Poisons Information Centre website has information on common plants and mushrooms (fungi) that are poisonous to people.

Contact the Queensland Herbarium for information and advice on suspected poisonous plants.
