Map enables public to search local disaster information

Local information is critical during a disaster. The Community Intelligence Map (CIM) allows the public to search for information that may be useful when disasters happen in their area.
Based on the Total Operational Mapping (TOM) system used by Queensland disaster and emergency management organisations prior to and during emergency incidents, the map has a number of data layers, including:
- local government areas
- disaster districts
- rural fire brigades
- fire wardens
- SES groups
- schools
- river gauges
- storm tide gauges
- traffic cameras.
To find local information on the map search by address or zoom in on an area. CIM also lets you create printable maps and share incident maps.
CIM is still in development, with plans to introduce new data layers, including real-time information during disaster events .
