About the funding scheme

These services can apply for funding under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS):

• community kindergarten services
• kindergarten services operated by non-state schools
• long day care services
• limited hours care services.

QKFS is designed to help you offset the cost of implementing and delivering an approved kindergarten program.

You can use the funding for:

• supplementing the salary of a qualified kindergarten teacher
• purchasing resources to support the delivery of the learning program
• reducing expenses for parents.

Benefits

If you satisfy the criteria, you will:

• receive the funding
• be recognised as an approved kindergarten program provider
• be able to access promotional materials to advertise this ‘approved program provider’ status.
