About the funding scheme
These services can apply for funding under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS):
- community kindergarten services
- kindergarten services operated by non-state schools
- long day care services
- limited hours care services.
QKFS is designed to help you offset the cost of implementing and delivering an approved kindergarten program.
You can use the funding for:
- supplementing the salary of a qualified kindergarten teacher
- purchasing resources to support the delivery of the learning program
- reducing expenses for parents.

Benefits
If you satisfy the criteria, you will:
- receive the funding
- be recognised as an approved kindergarten program provider
- be able to access promotional materials to advertise this ‘approved program provider’ status.
