Release of ICT Audit spearheads strong ICT vision for the future

7 June 2013: The Queensland Government has released the full ICT Audit undertaken in 2012, which represents the largest ICT audit in the history of Queensland.

The government also released a response (PDF, 612KB) to the key findings and recommendations from the audit, as it plans significant reforms for the way ICT is procured and managed in the Queensland Government.

The ICT Audit 2012 fact sheet (PDF, 368KB) provides an overview of the audit and its key findings.

The audit was far-reaching and highlighted the condition, performance and management of the ICT assets across the sector, as well as identifying high risk areas for government.

Sixty recommendations were made with the majority fully or partially accepted, or accepted in principle.

The Queensland Government is committed to delivering major ICT reforms and is currently developing a strategy for the future use of ICT in the Queensland Government.

To help shape the strategy, Queenslanders still have time to comment on a discussion paper about the proposed Queensland Government ICT strategy.

Consultation closes 11 June.
