Flooding caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald
Rain from ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald caused flooding across much of Queensland. Some flood warnings remain current, but for most areas the flooding is over and recovery work has begun.

- Emergent Assistance Grant
- Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP)
- Essential Services Safety and Reconnection Grant.

Financial help and support services are available to business owners and primary producers including low interest loans and clean up and recovery grants. Other assistance includes freight subsidies, Individual Disaster Stricken Property (IDSP) declarations and leasehold rent relief.

People in areas affected by severe weather should:
- listen to local radio stations for updates
- check the Bureau of Meterology website for current warnings
- check on local road conditions if driving
- see updates from Queensland Police, Disaster Management Queensland, the SES, local councils and more
- always follow the directions of Police and Emergency Services workers if evacuation is required
- check for school closures
