Volunteering
In 2010, almost 1.2 million Queenslanders made a difference in their local community by volunteering.

People volunteer for many different reasons, such as to:
- meet new people
- gain experience or learn new skills
- build self confidence
- stay active and involved
- transition to employment
- try something new
- put back into the community
