Using public transport with an assistance dog
A person with disability that requires a guide, hearing or assistance dog can travel on all public transport in Queensland.
Guide, hearing or assistance dogs must pass a public access test to become certified to legally accompany a person with disability on all public transport.

Once certified, dogs must display this badge (right) on their coat or harness that clearly identifies them as a guide, hearing or assistance dog.

People who rely on a guide, hearing or assistance dog must carry a Handler Identity Card, which confirms that their dog is certified.
