‘Your Life Your Choice’ self-directed support gives people with a disability and their families and carers the option to play an active role in the planning and purchase of supports.
The self-directed framework will allow people to develop their own personalised support model in preparation for a National Disability Insurance Scheme.
If you are eligible to self-direct your support, you can choose a level of involvement you feel comfortable with. For example, you may choose to:
- make no change to your support arrangements
- take on more control through a broker or host provider

self manage your own disability support funding.
