Leaders for Tomorrow program

Are you a person with disability who'd like to become a leader for tomorrow? You may be eligible to apply for the Australian Government's Leaders for Tomorrow program.

The Leaders for Tomorrow program is an initiative that supports people with disability developing their confidence, skills and leadership capacity. The program is free. It is targeted at people who want to be leaders, or who are interested in developing their leadership capacity.

The program includes:

  • a 2-day retreat with opportunities to meet other current or aspiring leaders
  • an Individual Leadership Development Plan, with activities that suit a person's interests. Participants receive up to 12 months access to mentoring, training, coaching and other leadership development opportunities that suit their personal needs.

Can I apply?

People with a range of leadership interests and skill levels are encouraged to apply. To be eligible, you need to be:

  • a person with disability, such as long-term physical, cognitive, intellectual or sensory disability
  • 16 years or older
  • an Australian citizen
  • able to participate in activities for up to 12 months to achieve your leadership goals
  • able to attend a residential workshop for 2 days
  • willing to mentor other people with disability who participate in the program.

TAFE NSW Hunter Institute, along with E-QUAL (Enhancing Quality) is delivering the Leaders for Tomorrow program.
