Financial counselling

Financial counselling can help you get back on your feet after a disaster. If you’re under financial stress a counsellor can help you understand your financial options and help you plan personal and family budgets.

Lifeline Financial Counselling offers free and independent financial advice over the phone and in person.

The Indigenous Consumer Assistance Network (ICAN) provides services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers across Australia. They provide financial counselling particularly on the Cassowary Coast.

Salvation Army Money Care offers a free, confidential financial counselling service.

Money Care services are available in the following areas:

  • Cassowary Coast
  • Emerald
  • Lockyer Valley
  • Toowoomba
  • Western Downs.
