Break the Chain
The Break the Chain campaign aims to help Indigenous Australians to quit smoking for good.

Indigenous Tobacco Control Initiative
The goal of the Indigenous tobacco control initiative is to reduce the smoking rate by 50% in urban, regional and remote Indigenous communities by 2018.
I-Quitt
The I-Quitt Program aims to improve the life expectancy of Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by helping them quit smoking.
Smoke-free Support Program

The Smoke-free Support Program (SSP) helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Queensland by:
- raising awareness of tobacco-smoking issues
- promoting the benefits of quitting smoking
- providing funding and support for community groups to run sporting and cultural events promoting a smoke-free lifestyle.
The key SSP messages decided by North Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are:
- Smoking: It can cost us the game.
- Tobacco: It could cost us our culture.
