Getting your driver licence

Remote Indigenous Driver Licensing Program

The Indigenous Driver Licensing Unit is a mobile team that visits remote Indigenous communities in far north Queensland, including the Cape York and Torres Strait areas, to help you:

  • do learner driver licence testing
  • do practical driver testing for cars and trucks
  • renew your driver licence
  • get adult proof of age cards.

You need to provide the same original forms of identification that are needed in a regular customer service centre.
