Voluntary redundancy estimator (Public Servants)

This calculator gives you an estimate of the payment you could expect if your role becomes redundant.

It is designed for employees with a simple, standard employment history.

Please note:

  • This calculator provides an estimate only, and is offered to help guide your decision-making.
  • The estimator is for Queensland Government employees only. (Queensland Health and Department of Education, Training and Employment employees—this calculator only applies to staff employed under the Public Service Award. Contact your HR area for advice if you are employed under a different award. Commissioned Officers of the Queensland Police Service—use the relevant Queensland Police Service calculator below.)
  • For detailed advice on your individual circumstances, please speak with your department’s human resources area.

    4. leave balances.

Voluntary redundancy estimator (Queensland Police Service)

These calculators give you an estimate of the payment you could expect if you are offered a voluntary redundancy.

Please note:

  • This calculator provides an estimate only, and is offered to help guide your decision-making.
  • The estimator is for Commissioned Officers of the Queensland Police Service only. Other Queensland Police Service (QPS) staff members should use the calculator above. Contact your HR area for advice if you are unsure.
  • For detailed advice on your individual circumstances, please speak with your human resources area.

    1. start date with the Queensland Police Service
    2. total years of service
    3. hourly pay rate (available on your pay slip)
    4. leave balances.
