Enhanced Employee Assistance Program
If you need to find a new job, it may be a while since you have actively looked for work, or you may be looking to make a significant change in career direction.
The Enhanced Employee Assistance Program provides practical help for those re-entering the job market or even considering retirement.
Services available under the Enhanced Employee Assistance Program include:
- career self-assessment
- career planning and coaching
- researching and evaluating job opportunities
- proactive job readiness support (including writing/updating resumes, job applications, interview preparation).
Support is provided for people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, and employees from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Professional counselling and coaching
All Queensland Government employees have access to counselling and coaching through each government agency’s employee assistance providers.
These programs offer confidential advice and support services for a wide range of issues, including:
- general redundancy/career transition issues
- work-related issues, including changes at work
- balancing family and work responsibilities
- relationship and marital problems
- anxiety, stress and depression
- bereavement, grief and loss.
