Queensland Week Citizenship Ceremony

On Saturday 1 June 2013, the Queensland Government hosted the 2013 Queensland Week Citizenship Ceremony at Brisbane City Hall.

More than 600 candidates from over 70 countries were welcomed as new Australian citizens.

Friends, family and fellow Queenslanders filled Brisbane City Hall to mark this special occasion and support Queensland’s newest citizens, as they made their pledge of commitment to their newly adopted country.

Brisbane group Fox Lane entertained guests on arrival and the Queensland Show Choir concluded the proceedings with a beautiful rendition of Waltzing Matilda.
