Queenslander of the Year Awards

2010 was the final year of the Queenslander of the Year Awards Program—a recognition of individuals who made extraordinary contributions to their local communities and the state.

The Suncorp Queenslanders of the Year Awards have celebrated outstanding Queenslanders since 1981.

Dimity Dornan AM
Managing Director/Founder, Hear and Say Centre

Dimity Dornan is a speech pathologist and founded the Hear and Say Centre in 1990. The centre teaches children with hearing impairments to communicate by learning to listen and to speak. Dimity has dedicated her life to changing the lives of deaf children.
